A practical course for staff, teams, project managers and leaders who wish to understand agile principles and methods and apply them effectively in their collaborative work. The focus is on an agile mindset, iterative working, transparency, customer focus, self-organisation, feedback loops and selected methods such as Scrum, Kanban and retrospectives.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Agile Working Methods

• Understanding Agile values and principles

• Distinguishing between traditional, Agile and hybrid working approaches

• Recognising complexity, uncertainty and customer focus as a starting point

• Distinguishing between an Agile mindset and methodological implementation

Module 2: Scrum and Understanding Roles

• Familiarise yourself with Scrum elements such as the Product Backlog, Sprint, Daily Stand-up and Review

• Classify roles such as Product Owner, Scrum Master and Development Team

• Plan and deliver requirements iteratively

• Reflect on the opportunities and limitations of Scrum in your own context

Module 3: Kanban and Workflow

• Make work visible and limit work in progress

• Understand flow, bottlenecks and lead times

• Use Kanban boards for team and individual work

• Derive continuous improvement from work data

Module 4: Prioritisation and Collaboration

• Prioritise requirements and tasks according to value, risk and effort

• Ensure transparent communication with stakeholders

• Establish feedback loops with customers and internal partners

• Promote self-organisation and accountability within the team

Module 5: Retrospectives and Knowledge Transfer

• Prepare and facilitate retrospectives

• Formulate improvement measures in a concrete and measurable way

• Select agile elements suitable for one’s own working context

• Identify next steps for the team or project
