Sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are firmly anchored in our corporate philosophy. This Environmental Policy Statement applies to the OrbExperts Group, including, but not limited to, OrbExperts OÜ and any affiliated entities.
As a provider of business and technical skills training, we recognise our responsibility to comply with all applicable environmental legislation and to follow environmental best practices relevant to our business activities.
We will take all reasonably practicable measures to:
- reduce energy consumption, including the use of electricity, gas, and other fossil fuels, and, where possible, procure energy from environmentally responsible suppliers and providers that use renewable energy sources;
- reduce the consumption of materials and consumable items, while promoting the reuse and recycling of equipment, waste products, and redundant items;
- reduce the need for physical travel between our offices and training venues by using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, other videoconferencing facilities, and collaborative tools wherever practicable;
- offset travel-related carbon emissions where appropriate;
- use, store, manage, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable legal requirements and environmental best practices;
- purchase goods and materials manufactured or produced from sustainable sources wherever practicable; and
- comply with all applicable legal and other compliance obligations relating to the environmental aspects of our activities.
Our Environmental Objectives
We aim to:
- continually improve our environmental performance by reviewing our environmental objectives, setting annual targets, and formally monitoring progress against them;
- procure services, equipment, and energy from providers that demonstrate a commitment to environmental protection;
- protect the environment by preventing pollution and minimising other environmental impacts associated with our activities;
- address travel-related carbon emissions through an approved carbon-offsetting programme;
- make this Environmental Policy available at our offices, on our internal systems, websites, and to interested parties where appropriate;
- consult with employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners on matters that may affect them in relation to sound environmental management practices and controls; and
- conduct an annual review and evaluation of legal compliance and update this policy and the OrbExperts Group's environmental management systems and controls as necessary.
Responsibilities
Where appropriate, our employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners are expected to participate in our environmental programs and cooperate in the implementation of this Environmental Policy. Through their actions, they should contribute positively to our commitment to responsible environmental management.
Employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners should familiarise themselves with the OrbExperts Environmental Policy and comply with the associated environmental management systems, procedures, and control measures relevant to their roles and activities.
