Terrain Modelling with ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst

Terrain Modelling with ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst

A practical course on analysing, modelling, and visualising terrain, elevation, and raster data with ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst. Participants learn how to prepare digital elevation models, derive terrain characteristics, and investigate complex spatial questions using raster functions, interpolation, and Map Algebra.

What will you learn?

You will learn how to manage, visualise, and analyse raster and elevation data efficiently. You will create hillshades and contour lines, calculate slopes, examine visibility, and generate continuous surfaces from measured point data.

You will also conduct distance, density, cost, and hydrological analyses, combine raster datasets using Map Algebra, and present terrain surfaces in a three-dimensional environment.

By the end of the course, you will be able to prepare digital terrain models correctly, derive relevant information from them, and conduct advanced raster analyses for planning, environmental, infrastructure, and other GIS applications.
